My interest in quilt construction came out of thirty-five years of collecting and restoring antique quilts.

I first showed African American Quilts at the outsider show in New York in 2005 at the Puck Building in Ricco Maresca Gallery.
In 2007 the quilts were shown in the Shiseido Gallery in Tokyo
In 2011 they were shown at Mingei International Museum in San Diego California

Bold Expressions was published by the Mingei Museum in 2011
They then traveled to the Bellevue Arts Museum in Seattle Washington in 2012
I have shown my fabric constructions at Judith Racht Gallery, Randolph street Gallery, Perimiter Gallery, Hyde Park Gallery, NorthCoast artists gallery, The Chicago Cultural Center, Merchandise Mart Artropolis show, and in Mingei international folk art museum, Bellevue, Mendocino Art Center and Just Folk in Summerland Ca.
